how it feels to be a teenager in the 21 century/ Los Angeles

The 21 century is very nice, very new, and especially living in a big city like Los Angeles everything in changing all the time. There’s a lot of very bad things that can distract a teenager from their school; or studies in LA drugs, alcohol, sex, violence in other town its not like that because it’s a small community and everyone knows each other. When you’re a teenager you do crazy things and don’t think with your head. When I walk home I see little teenage girls drinking beer or smoking weed or doing other drug its not healthy for them or their body system, I think about how stupid they are to waste their life doing those kind of things they give addicted to it but they don’t care.
Some people say this generation will be the worst of all. The last one was the working class generation who knows what they will call this generation. We have a lot of new technology that teens get distracted by like ipods, computers, cell phones or any other things. In this century teens have more jobs opportunities and things that could help us in the future. But most teenagers just want to have fun go to theme parks or play video games or just hang out with their friends.
This generation has to be the small one not the one that drops out of high school because you just didn’t feel like finishing school or you just got caught up in the drugs. Teens in lower class income communities should be trying hard to get into a college instead of smoking weed or pounding a 40 (drinking beer). The UC’s or Cal states mostly look at students with a higher income or their academic career. Your grades in 12 grade don’t really account because the colleges just look at your sometimes 9-11 grades that point of working your butt off when your in those grades.
I want to go to Cal state la or long beach that’s why I’m trying to do the best in school but sometimes the laziness gets to me and I don’t want to do anything. I know a few students that want to go to college but most of the teenagers at West Adams prep high school don’t want to go to college they want to work and think of money I say that’s why you have your parents their, there to support you and the life path you take.
