Flat Stanely

My name is Jose and my family is from El Salvador. I know you might think I was raised very differently from you but I doubt that. I was raised with a firm hand.
I'll tell you a little something about my education throughout my life. I went to a private/catholic school K-8. When I graduated from 8th grade I applied to just one Catholic high school, they turned me down. They said my grades were to low and they had no room for me. I felt so depressed because I thought no high school wanted me expect the public ones and no I did not want to go there.
July of 2009 was a very difficult time because my parents told me to choose between Home schooling with a tutor or public school and I did not want to stay home all day listening to one guy speaks to me so I chose public school. I came to this school (West Adams Prep High School) with an opened mine. I thought everyone in school was a drug deal, I thought the first day someone was going to "jump" me because I looked innocent. I didn’t make any friends after 3 months I just walk the whole third floor alone, maybe that’s why I'm not afraid to be alone in life because for part of my life I was alone.
All throughout my life I've never been an "A student" I have tried to be but I failed a bunch of times. My parents hated coming to my school when I was young because all they would hear is that I wasn't doing my work or that I was talking to other students and would distract them from their work. I just thought that the teacher hated me because I would be like they use to say a "hand full"
Enough about my life as a student now let’s talk about my life out of school. I live in Los Angeles one of the largest city in the United States. This is truly a great city, it has its areas of rich and poor but i still love living here and don’t want to move.
There lots of things to do in this great state. For one, there are lots and lots theme parks like Disneyland or Knott’s Berry Farm or Six Flags Magic Mountain or Universal Studios plus theirs hundreds of land marks in Hollywood.
Well that’s all I have to say
                                     Sincerely,
                                                     Jose

King George VI

Albert Frederick Arthur George was born on December 14 1895 in York Cottage, Norfolk. He was born to his parents, George Frederick Ernest Albert the king of the United Kingdom at the time and Victoria Mary Augusta Louise Olga Pauline Claudine Agnes. King George early life he became crowned Prince Albert of York. He often suffered from ill health and was described as "easily frightened and somewhat prone to tears". His parents, the Duke and Duchess of York, were generally removed from their children's day-to-day upbringing, as was the norm in aristocratic families of that era. He had a stammer that lasted for many years, and was forced to write with his right hand although he was naturally left-handed. He suffered from chronic stomach problems as well as knock knees, for which he was forced to wear painful corrective splints.
Queen Victoria died on 22 January 1901, and the Prince of Wales succeeded her as King Edward VII. The Duke of York became next in line to the throne. Prince Edward moved up to second in line, and Prince Albert was third in line for the throne. From 1909 King George went to Royal Naval College as a naval cadet. When Edward VII died in 1910, Albert's father became King George V. Prince Edward was created Prince of Wales, and Albert was second in line to the throne. Albert spent the first six months of 1913 on the training ship HMS Cumberland in the West Indies and on the east coast of Canada. In 1915 his commission, he began service in World War.
At the time when royals were expected to marry other royals, it was very weird that his parents let him marry anyone who he wants. I believe royal weddings should be that way not only marry a person who is a royal too or who has a lot of money. In 1920 George met Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the youngest daughter of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne. He became determined to marry her. Although Lady Elizabeth had royal Scottish blood she was still found to be a commoner. She rejected his proposal twice in 1920 and in 1921 because she thought that marring into the British royal family was too much work. After hard convincing from George she said yes. They were married on April 26, 1923 in Westminster Abby. Lady Elizabeth was crowned "Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York.”
On January 20, 1936 King George V died and George’s brother Prince Edward was king. He was throned as Edward VIII.  Prince Albert and his three brothers took a shift standing guard over their father's body as it laid, in a closed casket, in Westminster Hall. Edward was unmarried and had no children which meant he wasn’t the heir for the throne. Less than a year later, on December 11, 1936 Edward abdicated so he could marry his mistress. Albert became king, a position he was reluctant to accept. Albert assumed the name "George VI" to emphasize continuity with his father and restore confidence in the monarchy. George VI was also forced to buy from Edward the royal residences of Balmoral Castle and Sandringham House, as these were private properties and did not pass to George VI automatically.
The growing likelihood of war in Europe dominated the early reign of George VI. In May and June 1939, the King and Queen toured Canada and the United States. George was the first reigning monarch of Canada to visit North America, although he had been to Canada previously as Prince Albert and as Duke of York. The entire trip was a measure intended to soften the strong isolationist tendencies among the North American public with regard to the developing tensions in Europe. The fear that George would be compared unfavorably to the last king, Edward VIII, was an outrage because they saw that George VI was a different person than his brother. The king and the queen visited the World’s Fair 1939 in New York and stayed with Franklin D Roosevelt at the white and a private estate the president had in Hyde Park, New York.
In September 1939, Britain declared war on Nazi Germany. World War II had just begun. . They Roosevelt at the white and a private estate the president had in Hyde Park, New York. officially stayed in Buckingham Palace throughout the war, although they usually spent nights at Windsor Castle. One day they were in Buckingham Palace and two Nazi German bombs hit the courtyard. Barely killing them both. In August 1942, the King's brother Prince George was killed on active service.  The King and Queen provided morale-boosting visits throughout the United Kingdom, visiting bomb sites and munitions factories, and in the King's case visiting military forces. In January 1946, King George addressed the United Nations at their first assembly, “our faith in the equal rights of men and women and of nation’s great and small.”
In 1947 the King and his family toured Southern Africa. The Prime Minster of South Africa wanted the king and queen of Great Britain to give him advertising for his campaign. But the king didn’t get to make it because he was having trouble with his heavy smoking. The World War II has taken a toll on King George VI he was feeling sick all the time. He told his daughter Elizabeth that if he were to die she was would the next in line for the thrown. Even though he felt so bad he still cared so much for his daughter that he went to go see her off as she and her husband went for a peace tour Australia via Kenya. On the morning of 6 February, George VI was discovered dead in bed at Sandringham House in Norfolk. He had died from a coronary thrombosis in his sleep at the age of 56.
His daughter Elizabeth flew back to Britain from Kenya, as Queen Elizabeth II.  From 9 February for two days his coffin rested in St. Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham, before lying in state at Westminster Hall from 11 February. His funeral took place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, on the 15th. In 2002 Queen Elizabeth II grandmother Queen Elizabeth the mother queen died and they put the ashes of King George VI and his father and mother put them all together as a royal family. Queen Elizabeth II is still in rein after 50 years in 2011; her grandson just got married with a young woman. Her family is still in rein after almost 950 years.

School

I will be graduating soon
scared of the new world that I will begin
All the other classmates accepted in UC's
But I was accepted into a college that is too close
to the beach most people go only to say they have gone
to college before, but not the same satisfaction as
the others. These 4 years of listening to teachers
ramble about themselves have really paid
off I guess but have not learned as much
as to be prepared for the rest of my life.
Some teachers said "We don't prepare you as
much as we can" but what if they could? How
would the students react to that? what will they
say about these teachers that are trying hard
enough. The board of education is firing all these
teachers that are "One of a kind" and then the
board of education ask themselves why aren't half
of our high school seniors not graduating? I for
one am graduating even if I had Subs for half
of my classes.

The condition of disneyland

Disneyland is one of my favorite places in entire the world, I can talk about Disneyland for hours. In 1951 Walt Disney(the founder of Disneyland) was in Griffith Park watching his two daughters (Sharon,Diana) on the Merry-go-around, when Walt had the best idea ever. He wanted to create or build his own theme park.
In 1952 the major theme parks were Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knotts Berry farm and they were almost one hour away from Los Angeles. Walt wanted to make the park close by like in Los Feliz but he didn't find a good enough location for the park size. Roy Disney (Walt's brother) finally found a good enough location for the park, Anaheim,CA was going to be it. That same year in 1953 Walt wanted to being constructing and they did. Walt wanted to make the park in different sections.
Fantasyland would be the land of fantasy of peter pan all the princess. Frontierland would be the land of cowboys and the wild west. Tomorrowland would the land of invention and innovation and the land of future. Adventureland was be the land of all those adventure spirits that come out in movies.Main street USA would be model just like his old town Marcline.
In that same Walt was made a deal with a small TV network called ABC. Walt wanted to introduce the park on a tv show. 1954 was a good year for the Walt Disney co. the Disneyland Show was the highest rated show in the United States right next to "I love Lucy." on july 17 1955 the park was open just for the disney family member's and friends. they say that the rides werent working well but they still had a great time so much that walt him self on drunk and his daughter had to drive him home.
on july 18 1955 was the grand opening of disneyland and almost around 20,000 people showed up. the ticket cost about 50 cents plus tax which made it out to be one dollars. the firsts to enter the park were two children actually they were twines. the first day was a complete disaster there was not enough food the aslpht wasnt dry enough so the womens hees would get struck on it.
on December 15, 1966 ten days after his birthday Walt disney died of lunge cancer. Many people in his family even his own brother said that Walt was a good smoker. his first smoke was in the ww1 while he was driving a car for the united states army. the world was heart broke, America's greatest innovator was dead.
As the years went on the disney company kept and kept growing in 1971 Roy disney opened one of the biggest theme park in the world, it would be called the Walt Disney World. Walt disney company kept on growing now with their cruises and ships as biggest as hotels. The Walt Disney Company makes about 2.7 trillion dollars a year.

Macbeth Essay

Macbeth was based on a story that William Shakespare wrote. The first act of the play opens amidst thunder and lightning with the Three Witches deciding that their next meeting shall be with Macbeth. In the following scene, a wounded sergeant reports to King Duncan of Scotland that his generals — Macbeth, who is the Thane of Glamis, and Banquo — have just defeated the allied forces of Norway and Ireland, who were led by the traitor Macdonwald. Macbeth, the King's kinsman, is praised for his bravery and fighting prowess.
On the night of the king's visit, Macbeth hallucinates before entering Duncan's quarters, believing he sees a bloody dagger. Macbeth later reunites with his wife, having "done the deed.Despite his success, Macbeth, also aware of this prophecy, remains uneasy about this, so Macbeth invites Banquo to a royal banquet, where he discovers that Banquo and his young son, Fleance, will be riding out that night.
Macbeth writes to his wife about the witches' prophecies. When Duncan decides to stay at the Macbeths' castle at Inverness, Lady Macbeth hatches a plan to murder him and secure the throne for her husband. Although Macbeth raises concerns about the regicide, Lady Macbeth eventually persuades him, by challenging his manhood, to follow her plan. The assassins succeed in killing Banquo, but Fleance escapes. At the banquet, Macbeth invites his lords and Lady Macbeth to a night of drinking and merriment.
Lady Macbeth becomes wracked with guilt from the crimes she and her husband have committed. She sleepwalks and tries to wash imaginary bloodstains from her hands, all the while speaking of the terrible things she knows she pressed her husband to do.In England, Macduff is informed by Ross that his castle is surprised wife and babes Savagely slaughter Macbeth, now viewed as a tyrant, sees many of his thanes defecting. Malcolm leads an army along with Macduff and Englishmen Siward the Earl of Northumberland against Dunsinane Castle. While encamped in Birnam Wood, the soldiers are ordered to cut down and carry tree limbs to camouflage their numbers thus fulfilling the witches third prophecy.
Macbeth seeks out the witches and learns from them that he will be safe until Birnam Wood comes to his castle, Dunsinane. They tell him that he need fear no-one born of woman, but also that the Scottish succession will come from Banquo’s son. Macbeth embarks on a reign of terror and many, including Macduff’s family are murdered, while Macduff himself has gone to join Malcolm at the court of the English king, Edward. Malcolm and Macduff decide to lead an army against Macbeth.Macbeth feels safe in his remote castle at Dunsinane until he is told that Birnam Wood is moving towards him. The situation is that Malcolm’s army is carrying branches from the forest as camouflage for their assault on the castle. Meanwhile Lady Macbeth, paralysed with guilt, walks in her  and gives away her secrets to a listening . She kills herself as the final battle commences.
